(December 2017)

Last December, thanks to the Marion Lemesh Fellowship, I was granted the chance to volunteer as a CCRC (College and Career Readiness Camp) mentor at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV) in Rwanda.

Despite all the challenges the ASYV students have faced in their lives, all of have developed their own unique approaches to become self-confident, self-motivated, compassionate and intellectually-curious individuals. Seeing the students’ ambition to create a better future for Rwanda and the world gave me the much needed hope and courage to stay positive in today’s world.
This website was built by Cedrick, a recent ASYV graduate, during the camp.
Soon after our career readiness camp, Cedrick got admitted the Education USA program and now attending their college prep program in Kigali. I've written this piece in Turkish for my new website. (Kırsalda Eğitim - >rural education)

We are now using Basecamp to assist teachers with new resources for EFL as well as life skills curriculum.
I used Google Classroom during the camp.
